Rosemary Linden
President | 2025 CFO of the Year
Most business owners excel at what they do, but struggle to turn financial complexity into strategy. That’s why I founded Momentum CFO — to help leaders like you gain the clarity, tools, and momentum you need to scale with confidence. Through fractional CFO and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) consulting services, I turn your numbers into a roadmap for smarter growth.
With over 25 years of financial leadership experience, I’ve led FP&A teams at global corporations like Quest Diagnostics and WD-40 Company and managed P&Ls exceeding $1 billion. I know how to adapt enterprise-level best practices to improve the performance of smaller, growing businesses. Since launching Momentum CFO in 2016, I’ve worked with clients nationwide to strengthen cash flow, increase profitability, refine pricing, build strategic budgets and forecasts, and prepare financial materials for boards, investors, and lenders. Whether you’re preparing for growth, navigating an acquisition, or simply trying to make sense of the numbers, I’ll help you shift from reactive decisions to confident, data-driven leadership.
I’m honored to contribute to the finance profession and my community. I serve on the FP&A Advisory Council for the Association for Financial Professionals, where I help shape global standards for FP&A, and I’m part of the leadership team of San Diego Women in Finance, advancing the development of women leaders in the industry. The San Diego Business Journal has also recognized my work, The San Diego Business Journal recognized my work as 2025 CFO of the Year in the Consulting CFO category, after also naming me a Leader of Influence in Accounting & Finance and a CFO of the Year Finalist in 2023 and 2024.
I earned my BA in Economics from the College of William & Mary and an MSBA in Financial and Tax Planning from San Diego State University. Outside of work, I love to balance spreadsheets with a little adventure — scuba diving with my husband, tackling LEGO builds and puzzles, practicing pliés in ballet class, and relaxing at home with our two mischievous kitties.
